
Front of house you'll find our Manager Marguerite Stevenson who
moved from Melbourne fifteen years ago. Over that time Marguerite has worked
at Heronswood, Last Temptation Caterers (a film crew catering service),
Salix Restaurant at Willow Creek Vineyard for five years as front of
house manager, Max’s Restaurant
at Red Hill Estate Vineyard and at her own business, Sister’s Catering
and Cafe.

Behind the scenes
We've created a
kitchen and dining environment that combines the relaxed sea-side traditions
of a general store, where there's time for a chat while you pick up your
basic supplies, with the needs of visiting families and diners who expect
an interesting menu featuring local ingrediants that's served fresh and
fast.

The
Somers General Store kitchen is geared up to deliver on both fronts
so that you can leave with a coffee and a paper or, having stayed
for breakfast and lunch and a day at the beach, a great dining experience.

under Cath Claringbold, a year at Attica under Perry Petters,
Planet Organic – London, Replete Providores – Hawthorn (chef) and Martin
